DAY 10 - QUEENSTOWN [B]
Morning free at leisure
Return your rental car at Napier Airport
2pm: Fly to Queenstown on Air New Zealand Domestic scheduled flight
Arrive in Queenstown
Collect your rental car at Queenstown Airport.
Drive to check in to your accommodation for three nights
DAY 11 - QUEENSTOWN [B,L]
Return luxury coach transport from Queenstown to Milford Sound with an extended 2 ½ hour Nature Cruise along the full length of the fjord. On boarding a Real Journeys luxury glass-roofed coach in Queenstown, you enjoy a trip along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and through the rolling countryside to Te Anau. The driver provides an informative commentary in English only.
Interpretation material is available in foreign languages.
After a morning tea break in Te Anau where you have the option of purchasing refreshments, the coach continues along the spectacular Milford Road. There is time for photo stops and short walks along the way. The experienced drivers enjoy sharing their knowledge of the area. On reaching Milford Sound, you board the Milford Mariner for a relaxing cruise of Milford Sound. The cruise provides excellent viewing opportunities and plenty of time is available to enjoy waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. An on-board nature guide provides interpretation in English only, via a handheld microphone. You have bought a picnic box lunch to eat on board, which you must first ask your coach driver where to collect it. Complimentary tea and coffee are available during the cruise.
Return to Queenstown by luxury coach with time to reflect on the beauty of the afternoon scenery.
Approx 8.30pm: You will be returned to your accommodation.

DAY 13 - RAKAIA [B,D]
Drive to Rakaia ( hours) via The MacKenzie Country. It is a scenic route which passes over the Lindis Pass and follows through the Southern Alps foothills to emerge onto the Mackenzie Basin after Omarama. Drive past Lakes Pukaki and Tekapo to Fairlie, Geraldine and onto Rakaia.
